What struck me the most was Donna's confessions and I must say I was guilty of the same thing with my sister at the Baptist church. Our folks dropped us off too and so we went in the front and left by the back door....furthermore we used our money to buy sodas and cigarettes!!! I have wondered for a while who else was that bad and now I know!
RAD - the other RobinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19802617.post-1141604926830384452006-03-05T19:28:00.000-05:002006-03-05T19:28:00.000-05:00Hi Pastor,I hope you feel better soon. I thought the kids combined their high spirits & lots of fun with a nice balance of worship to, and focus on, the Lord. My hat is off to them for an excellent job.

I thought Cortney's sermon was wonderful and am still chuckling about Donna's "confession". The only person who may regret her part in it is Donna - ask her about her "confession"!! What irony. (Yes, you just had to be there . . . or ask her in person! I sure won't be ratting on her! )

The kids under the able leadership of Mandy and her core of adults (Chris, Joanne, Rob, and Jacque) did a truly unique service that went off with hardly a hesitation. Music by Doves & Praise Choir, under Tish' direction, was totally apt - and they wore face-painting and 60's clothes to complement the music.

The theme was MISSION and the "kids" interviewed a bunch of adults, using clips from the interviews during worship. (How'd they get us to say those things that were just SO "on target"?) So we had an insight (some would call it witness) into the generous spirits not only of our youth, but also of several adults.

It was suggested that we have a "follow-up" at some point, to see what actions and commitment this service prompts, and to note the individual and corporate missions/ministries that we didn't have time to highlight.

All in all - a very very fine worship experience! (Ania, btw, was one of the senior high corner-stones. Besides a little jig to "Lord of the Dance", there was nothing you need to be warned of!) We're sorry you weren't there - you would have been pleased.

Can't wait till next year!
RobinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
